Unrelated to the above post, I'm sorry, but I have a question. On the Extranet, when it says something like "There are 90 moderators, of which 44 have been active in the past 5 days", I usually see that it's about always 50% or so. Is it usually the same folks muscling through the queues, with some mods helping out now and again, or are there some who just don't have the time to hit tickets as much as they'd like? Also, why is this statistic made available?

I'm just curious, no malice intended here.

It varies. At any one time, we always have people away on holiday or sitting exams, or dealing with real life stuff.
It's not uncommon for mods to take a week or so off every now and then.
We do have a core group of mods who are extremely dedicated and will constantly mod, and then we have those who pitch in when they can.
There is no requirement for how often people moderate, as long as they get at least a few tickets done each week.
The statistic is available because we want people to be aware of the times when we're a little short staffed, and because it can indicate times when the queue may be a little longer.

Just read the Mods rules and noticed a funny thing.
You can submit a landscape with a castle (not out of a book) in it and it can go in LOTH. as per the bit on "Landscapes"(Just a scene from the past really)
You can submit any image of the imagined future and it will go into ZONE.
If you draw a Cyborge with a sword it will go in Zone.
If you draw a modern person with a sword it goes in Zone. (no Sci-Fi there)
If you draw a modern person with a future gun it goes in Zone.
If you draw a Fairy with flintlock it will go in LOTH.
If you draw the same Fairy with an early revolver it will go in Zone. (nothing Sci-Fi about a gun from the 1850's)

I'm wondering WHAT a mod is suposed to do with an image of a what looks like a 1908 highland regiment soldier, holding a some imagined (non-specific)modern gun.
There's no way he could get such a gun without a time-machine, so the idea is Fantasy. But by the looks of things, that image would be bared from Elfwood altogether while a picture of some knight riding a horse will get in just for being preindustrial.

BTW: To do with "GEARS"... A recient underwater dig around the remains of the great Lighthouse, uncovered a component machanical peice for a water powered clock, the bronze devise had 28 tiny gears and cogs. Latter on this technology level was not reached untill the renasance. Not bad work for Ancient Greeks living 1500 years before the birth of Christ.
